A blog in Web site clothing

Here’s an easy way for non-profits and small businesses to launch a Web site without spending an arm and a leg. Today we launched a new site that is built in Tumblr as a blog (this is the same program in which PR Briefs is created and managed).

Here are 5 reasons this technique might work for you:

1. There is no charge to design or program the site

2. There is no monthly hosting fee

3. The site is accessed by a “normal” Web site address: www.ecohhouseparty.com

4. Anyone, with even an elementary understanding of using the Internet, can log in and post updates to the site

5. Video links, graphics, photos and other “extras” can also be added to the site easily

This is a great tool for any business with a small budget that wants to get a basic Web site for their business on the Internet. Go to www.tumblr.com to learn more.

PR rocks! Public relations and marketing have been the focus of my career for the past 28 years. As an ad agency client during the early years, I had the opportunity to experience a birds-eye view of agencies and the experience wasn't always a good one. When Ideaworks opened in 1995, we were determined to break the mold, and after 14 years, more than 300 awards and hundreds of client referrals, I think we're starting to get there. —Caron Sjoberg
